Here's a collection of tonal and colour studies, exploring light and composition for a bit of practise to awaken my painting skills ..it's been a while.
Some texture studies are always fun, trying to observe how surfaces react to light and replicate a realistic texture on to a spherical surface. It is definitely good practice to paint textures in Photoshop. It forces you to look how the light affects every little bit of the material. I will be doing more of them!
